I have had the most amazing Life, but now I must say goodbye

One last visit with our girl.  Time catches up with us all, and it has finally caught up to Fenix.  Her time has come to end this amazing journey, and to take her last steps across the rainbow bridge.  You were the best dog ever!  We love you, and will miss you more than you could ever know.

Thanks to all that stopped to visit our page.

I love retirement! I'm Living the Life! I love just being a dog!

 Another life milestone!

Hang up the harness!  I have decided to live the life of a pampered pet, and have joined the ranks of retired guide dogs everywhere.  I still live with my best friends, Julie and David, and enjoy just being a dog.  Thanks for following my adventures!  Until next time, Fenix.

Hold on Just a Second! I'm still here, and I'm still working!

Julie and I are still a successful team.  I'm a bit older now, so I don't go as fast or as far as I used to, but we still go.  Today is a scary day.  My Julie says I have to go to the doctor to get a procedure done on my sore ear.  Not usually an issue, except for the fact that I am thirteen years old.  Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers today.  Love all of you, Fenix.

I'm Still A Working Girl

Well, I'm still a working guide dog.  Julie and I have made lots of trips, done lots of walking, and had a great time doing it all.  I am 11 years old now, but am still able to guide Julie safely.  Who knows how long I will be working.  But its not all work.  I get to do fun things, too.  I go on walks and play with my doggie friends all the time.

Graduation Day - Julie and Fenix

Thats Me!

Well, I did it!  I am a real working guide dog!  I have been working hard for the past three weeks, training with my new partner Julie.  Everyone says that we make a great team.  I am looking forward to sharing lots of exciting times together.  It's been fun getting to know each other these past few weeks.

Today was graduation day.  Lots of people came to watch the ceremony.  I even got to meet my puppy raisers today!  We all chatted for a while in Julie's room before the ceremony started.  I told them how challenging guide dog college was, and thanked them for preparing me to meet the challenge.

That's about it for a while!  I am off to start my new life.  I have enjoyed sharing my experiences with all of you that check in from time to time!

We got the phone call this morning!  Fenix has been matched, and will graduate on 10/23!  Words cant express how happy we all are for her and her new partner!

Will I or Won't I....

We should find out today if fenix has been matched with a student at GDA, and if she will be graduating next sunday!
